Arriving at the Math Departement by car:
From the highway A31 (Luxembourg-Metz-Nancy) take the Exit 33 (Metz Nord/Pontiffroy/Zone Industrielle). Right after exiting the highway, keep to the direction "Metz Nord/Pontiffroy", which will lead you on a bridge over the highway. After passing the "Pont de Thoinville" over the River Moselle, keep to the right lane. You will reach a roundabout (Place du Pontiffroy) with a light. Turn to the right into the Rue Belle-Isle (at the left-hand side of this road you will see the l'Hôtel de Police). Drive all the way to the end of the Rue Belle-Isle. Straight in front of you, you will find the "Pont de l'Université", which gives access to the Campus Ile du Saulcy (i.e. to the Saulcy Island). Here is a map.
Since a parking permit is needed to park on campus, please contact us beforehand or go to the underground parking "Place de la République". The latter solution is better to reach the hotels. Be aware that the central part of the town is a pedestrian area and vehicle access is restricted.
Here is the web page with directions to parking lots and garages in Metz. Here are their opening times.
